Former professional boxer Dwight Williams, 28, was ordered held without bail in Syracuse, N.Y. on charges of second--degree murder, attempted second--degree murder, first--degree rape and two counts of first--degree sodomy.
Police identified the nurdered girl as 6--year--old Erica Gatewood, who was stabbed at least 12 to 18 times in the heart, upper body and back. The other child, identified as Gatewood’s cousin, Valerie Jones, 4, suffered multiple stab wounds.
Williams was charged with raping and sodomizing Valerie Jones’ mother, 19--year--old Theresa Stewart, in her home. In a statement to police, Stewart threatened to harm the children unless she submitted.
