John Tierney, president and chief executive officer of DOCSI Corp., located in Los Angeles and Chicago, has been appointed to a three-year term on the Pitzer College Board of Trustees. Tierney is a practicing attorney in Chicago and Los Angeles.

La Puente City Councilman Charles Storing has been reelected to a four-year term on the Southern California Rapid Transit District Board of Directors. Storing, who has been a board member since 1976, represents the San Gabirel Valley on the 11-member board.

Jeffrey Marrone, a real estate dealer in El Monte, has been named president of the El Monte-South El Monte Chamber of Commerce. Marrone is the former president of the San Gabriel Valley Board of Realtors. Audrey Travis, Jerry Julian and Ethel Nelson will serve as vice presidents.

Rita Lynch, a 1977 graduate of Pitzer College, has been named a Southern California Coro Foundation fellow. Lynch, who works at the Wells Fargo History Museum in Los Angeles, will spend nine months in the foundation’s public affairs graduate program. The Coro Foundation prepares fellows for leadership positions in the public and private sectors.

Marvin Malecha, dean of the School of Environmental Design at Cal Poly Pomona, has been appointed to the Masters Jurors Council for the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. The boards set the grading criteria on the architectural licensing examination.
