The First Interstate Bank Athletic Foundation--a sports museum and library in the 2100 block of West Adams Boulevard--was turned over to the Los Angeles Olympic Committee Amateur Athletics Foundation. John F. King, chairman of First Interstate Bank of California, expressed confidence that the committee will continue the programs his bank had backed since assuming full responsibility for the organization, originally known as the Helms Athletic Foundation, in 1982.
