A 25-year-old Colombian national was arrested in the murder of a woman who was shot to death in her Rosemead apartment last March 17. Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies arrested Miguel Angel Paez on a Pasadena street corner on a warrant charging him with the fatal shooting of Dayle Okazaki, 35, and the wounding of her roommate, Maria Hernandez. The Sheriff’s Department said Hernandez escaped after being accosted and shot by an intruder as she returned to the apartment on the night of March 17. Deputies responding to her call for help found Okazaki’s body.
