City Attorney Sought: La Habra city officials are looking for a new city attorney following the death last week of Robert Hobson.
Hobson, an apparent suicide victim, was found dead in his car in Anaheim last week. An Orange County coroner’s office spokesman said Friday that carbon monoxide poisoning is suspected, but the case is still under investigation.
Hobson, 38, joined La Habra as assistant city attorney in 1974 and became the city attorney two years later. He gave officials a letter of resignation about a month ago, city spokeswoman Anja Pavlak said. Hobson’s resignation was to become effective when the city found a new attorney, Pavlak said.
