A Huntington Park woman was chased through the house and fatally shot by her husband in front of their four terrified children after an argument about playing the stereo too loud, police said. Maria Iniguez, 44, was found dead on the dining room floor when officers arrived at the home in the 6200 block of Santa Fe Avenue at about 10:15 p.m. Witnesses told police that when the woman went to turn down a stereo her husband, Antonio Virgen, 43, was playing in the back of the house, Virgen allegedly grabbed a small-caliber handgun, chased her through the house and shot her several times before fleeing by car. The children have been placed in protective custody until relatives can be located.
