Westminster : Baby in Stroller Hit by Car, Critically Hurt
An 11-month-old baby was critically injured Friday when the stroller his grandmother was pushing across Westminster Boulevard was struck by a car, police said.
The child, Julio Angel Martinez of Westminster, was taken to Fountain Valley Community Hospital with cuts and fractured and was reported in critical condition. His grandmother, Bertha Camino of Westminster, received no injuries but was treated for shock at Humana Hospital in Westminster, police said.
The car was turning onto Westminster Boulevard from Pacific Avenue shortly about 12:20 p.m. and struck the stroller, pushing it about 15 feet, police said. No citations were issued, but investigation of the case is continuing.
