Local News in Brief : Lottery Leases Building in Sylmar for Office
The California State Lottery has leased a building in Sylmar that will serve as one of 12 district offices throughout the state.
Lottery representatives will be stationed at the offices to deal with retailers who will sell lottery tickets to the public.
The office, one of two in Los Angeles County, will be at 12423 Gladstone Ave. and will open Aug. 25, said Charles Olver, an architect with the Department of General Services. The other county office for the lottery, which is expected to begin in late September or early October, will be in Whittier.
