House Unit OKs Foreign Aid Bill

WASHINGTON — The House Appropriations Committee today approved and sent to the full House a $14.3-billion foreign aid appropriation bill heavily weighted with assistance for Israel, Egypt and Pakistan.
In military and economic aid, Israel would receive $3 billion during the fiscal year starting Oct. 1, and Egypt would get $2.1 billion. Pakistan would receive $325 million in military aid.
