Joan Borsten, the Rome-based journalist who has done film-TV assignments for Calendar throughout Europe and the Mediterranean region for seven years, is joining the staff of Tunisian film producer Tarak Ben Ammar. Sometime next year, she’ll set up the producer’s operations in Hollywood. Daughter of Orin Borsten, retired Universal Studios senior publicist, she’ll look for movie properties as well as finding producers to film in Tunisia or at Ben Ammar’s new film studios there.
