Officers Shoot Armed Man
Two Los Angeles police officers shot and wounded a 25-year-old Los Angeles man after he allegedly pointed his gun at the officers and failed to respond to their orders to drop the weapon, Los Angeles police reported Saturday.
Michael Carreon, manager of the DHB Harris Corp. in the 2500 block of East 14th Street, was listed in satisfactory condition at County-USC Medical Center. Carreon was charged with suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer.
Officers Michel R. Moore and Corilene R. Charles had responded to a call from workers at a neighboring firm, who said the suspect was waving a gun and threatening to shoot a truck driver.
