Raiders : Plunkett, Parker Connect in Drill

Jim Plunkett threw a 10-yard pass to second-year tight end Andy Parker for the only touchdown as the Raiders simulated game conditions in a controlled scrimmage Saturday.

The offense also scored on field goals by Chris Bahr, Mike Prindle and Steve Willis.

Raider Coach Tom Flores: “When you do this, the young ones get a little up-tight. The adrenaline starts flowing. That’s what you have to do before the first game.”

The Raiders play their first exhibition next Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers.

Todd Christensen and Cliff Branch didn’t participate. Christensen has been out for several days with bruised ribs. Branch sat out with muscle stiffness.
