Foundation Donates $1,000 for Partial Sea Camp Scholarships
The Marina Foundation has given $1,000 to the Los Angeles chapter of the Oceanic Society for partial scholarships for underprivileged children interested in attending the society’s Sea Camp ’85 beginning this month.
Each weekly Sea Camp will include an oceanography cruise, field trips to a fossil site, marine laboratory, the beach and the Ballona Lagoon wetlands.
The Marina Foundation is a nonprofit group formed to support marine-related scientific, educational and cultural activities. Information on its program is available at (213) 399-5510.
