Strings Lose to Buds, Still Make the Playoffs

Robin White won both her sets to pace the San Diego Buds to a 28-21 victory over Los Angeles in team tennis competition before 1,294 Sunday night at the Forum. The Strings still qualify for the playoffs with a sixth-place finish in the eight-team league.

The Strings (5-9) will meet third-place finisher St. Louis (9-5) at the Forum Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
