NMS Pharmaceuticals Inc. of Newport Beach announced Monday that it has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to sell ovulation test kits to physicians and medical clinics. The kits, which are awaiting FDA approval for over-the-counter public sale, claim to track the level of a particular hormone in a woman’s urine prior to and during ovulation. NMS said the kits would be useful both as a contraceptive aid and as a help to women who desire pregnancy.
