Share

Kent Redwine, who represented the old 57th Assembly District when it was centered in Hollywood, died Sunday in Eisenhower Medical Center, Rancho Mirage. He was 87 and had served four terms in the Assembly between 1933 and 1941.

More recently he had been a Sacramento lobbyist for the Motion Picture Producers Assn. and the Southern California Car Dealers Assn.

Redwine, a Republican, was a popular legislator who won nearly as many Democratic as Republican votes in the days when cross-filing was permitted in state elections.
