Arlington Park race track will hold the Arlington Million race as scheduled Aug. 25, despite the fire that destroyed the park’s grandstand and clubhouse, track president Joseph Joyce said.

The future of the race, the richest turf race in the United States, had been uncertain after the fire July 31 had destroyed most of the track’s structure. Tents will be set up for spectators and standing room will be available, track officials said. Some betting windows will be open, Joyce said.
