In a personnel restructuring move, Newport Beach-based AirCal announced the appointment of Peter M. Deiser as senior vice president-administration and Fred von Husen as senior vice president-operations. Both positions are newly created, according to an AirCal spokeswoman.
Deiser and von Husen will report to AirCal’s president and chief operating officer, David A. Banmiller. Deiser, who previously was vice president of personnel, will expand his role to include all administrative functions of AirCal, including purchasing, fuel management, properties and facilities, labor relations and travel as well as personnel.
Von Husen, previously the airline’s vice president of technical services, now takes responsibility for all operating areas, including technical services, maintenance, flight operations, operations control, crew planning and scheduling, in-flight services and station services. Husen’s former position will be assumed by Michael Coffman, who was vice president of passenger services.
