New Tulane Case Mistrial Ruled

NEW ORLEANS —
After a tangle of legal turnabouts, a state judge today again declared a mistrial in the sports bribery case of former Tulane basketball star John (Hot Rod) Williams.
Defense attorney Michael Green requested the mistrial, claiming that prosecutors had not given the defense relevant material, including photographs. A new trial date was tentatively set for Sept. 9.
