Burckle Shoots a 66 to Lead State Open

John Burckle fired a six-under-par 66 to take a one-stroke lead with a 136 total after two rounds of the California State Open at Olivas Park in Ventura Wednesday.
Mike Miles of Cypress also had a 66 and was in second place at 137.
Burckle of Newport Beach had seven birdies and a bogey to move ahead of opening-round leader Brad Greer of Huntington Beach, who had a 72 and a 139 total.
