Viewpoint / Letters : Dodger Fans Receive Their Money’s Worth, and So Does the Team
Your piece on Dodger finances made for truly compelling reading. Most of us were unaware the Dodgers had become such a righteous, money-making operation. What an eye-opener--$2.5 million off of parking. Gee, must be a lot of cars going through those gates. I mean, this is just the sort of thing inquiring minds want to know.
I was also pleased to note that Peter O’Malley had enough sense to ensure his sister and brother-in-law made, as an entry, almost double Al Campanis’ salary. This shows great subtlety on the young owner’s part, considering how “the Chief” keeps losing his players all over the National League.
And is it true Ross Porter contributed to the article?
