1905 Building Rehabilitated

The 1905-era, six-story Arroyo Seco Building, the first steel building constructed in Pasadena and the first home of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, is being renovated at a cost of $2.5 million.

A limited partnership is rehabilitating the structure at 117 E. Colorado Blvd. to provide 94,000 square feet of rentable space, including retail and commercial space on the ground level and professional office space on the upper floors. Hayes & Co. of Pasadena is handling leasing.

General partners in the limited partnership include Gene A. Buchanan and the Crossett Corp. Limited partners are Buchanan & Associates and the Ralph M. Parsons Co. Buchanan & Associates is one of several partnerships of AJB Enterprises, a development company specializing in the refurbishment of older commercial buildings.
