The Best Concierge

Is the grand old European concierge disappearing from the hotel scene? On this year’s European trip we noticed that four out of five hotels would be without the familiar concierge. And in hostelries like the Frankfurt Airport Sheraton she was so busy that it was obviously useless to add our information requests to her mountainous pile.

The Swiss hotels may be our last resort for finding the ubiquitous concierge. Alberto Migliosi of the Hotel Krebs in Interlaken is the best we have encountered. Alberto is simply priceless in his ministrations to your travel wants. Old-fashioned and historical, this wonderful person is well worth a special visit to this central Swiss area. Long live the concierge.
