Man Slain, Daughter Wounded: A Santa Ana man was sought Sunday in connection with the slaying of a 60-year-old man and the critical wounding of the man’s daughter, police said. Police Sgt. Randall Eldridge said shootings at 10:10 p.m. Saturday stemmed from a family argument. He said the suspect, Antonio Rios, 22, became angry when he learned that his common-law wife wife, Eva Ponce Samudio, 33, had been out dancing. Eldridge said Rios confronted Samudio and her father, Jose Morales Samudio, 60, in front of their home at 314 S. Sycamore St. Both Jose Samudio and his daughter were shot in the chest. He died at the scene. She was taken to Western Medical Center in critical condition, Eldridge said. Eldridge said Rios fled on foot after the shooting.
