Ex-Teacher Faces More Charges

Former teacher Terry E. Bartholome was charged today with 18 additional sexual molestation counts based on recent testimony at his preliminary hearing by female students from the 68th Street School in South-Central Los Angeles.

Bartholome, who is being held on $200,000 bail, pleaded not guilty to all 45 molestation counts filed against him at a Superior Court arraignment before Judge Gerald Levie. Bartholome, whose case has attracted wide attention as a result of reports that school administrators waited more than a year before relaying children’s allegations against him to police, faces a maximum penalty of 68 years in state prison and 6 years in County Jail.
