TV Cable Dispute Cited in Slaying
A San Diego man was in custody Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting in a dispute over a television cable, San Diego police said.
Bernard Kenneth Moss, 27, who police said was a Navy man on disability retirement, was booked on suspicion of homicide in County Jail after the death of his neighbor, James Allen McQuiller, 40.
Police said Moss and McQuiller began fighting just before 8 p.m. Tuesday in the hallway of their Market Street apartment complex when Moss accused McQuiller of cutting his television cable.
Homicide Lt. Paul Ybarrondo said McQuiller was shot in the left side of the head with a .38-caliber revolver.
