A memorial service was held Tuesday for Hugh Lambert, a dancer and choreographer who directed the entertainment segment of President Reagan’s 1981 inaugural gala.

Lambert, who danced in several Broadway musicals, was 55 when he died of cancer Sunday at Sherman Oaks Community Hospital.

He had a television production agreement with Warner Bros. and directed and choreographed cabaret shows for several stars. In 1973 he directed the TV special “Ol Blue Eyes Is Back” for his father-in-law, Frank Sinatra.
