West Hollywood
The City Council has hired a polling firm to survey senior citizens in West Hollywood to determine the social service needs of the city’s large elderly population.
The Planning Group, a social and environmental impact consulting firm, began a telephone poll of senior citizens on Aug. 8. The polling should be completed by the end of this week.
The survey was commissioned to determine what programs senior citizens consider important. Polling results will be used by the council, which has committed itself to a $1.5-million social service budget, to decide what senior-oriented programs should be developed.
