About Mayor Bradley’s plan to take some children out of their homes so as to provide them with a motivating environment: Mr. Bradley, of all people should know about the weight of the environment; he was a policeman when he and Mrs. Bradley had and raised their children. The mayor should have remembered his own experience before making such an outrageous proposal.
The cause of the problems of poor children is not their parents but an economic system that, by design, creates a large number of marginalized “surplus” people.
