Mariners Bluff Opens First Phase Today in Laguna Niguel

Mariners Bluff, which will be a community of 198 single-family detached houses in the master-planned Laguna Heights development in Laguna Niguel, will open its first increment of 29 homes today for December occupancy.

The homes, 13 of which have been sold, offer two or three bedrooms and two, 2 1/2 or three baths in one- and two-story floor plans with 1,250 to 1,791 square feet of floor space. Prices range from $137,000 to $171,000. There is a monthly homeowners’ association fee of $34.50 for maintenance of common areas.

The homes’ architect is the Berkus Group and the developer is Shea Homes. Sited on 3,900- to 6,900-square-foot lots, the houses offer living and dining rooms open to the floor above in two-story plans, lofts, bronze-tinted skylights, canopy or greenhouse windows, fireplaces and interior laundry rooms.

Residents will have the use of hiking and riding trails and other recreational amenities of the planned San Juan Regional Park. Four model homes, decorated by Color Design Art, are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Street of the Golden Lantern two miles south of Crown Valley Parkway.
