Man Dies in Crash: S A Mission Viejo man died after his small car rolled several times across a median, coming to rest in the oncoming lanes of a local street, a California Highway Patrol officer said. John Roy Edes, 19, was on northbound Marguerite Parkway in Mission Viejo about 9:35 p.m. Thursday when he apparently lost control of his 1969 Volkswagen and crashed just south of Crown Valley Parkway, said CHP Officer Isidoro Lopez. Edes, who was thrown from his vehicle, was taken to Mission Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:22 p.m., Lopez said.
