Construction Classes Slated

Beginning this month, contractor A. T. (Tom) Horsfall will teach “Innovations in Construction” classes aimed at people who plan to build a new house or remodel an existing one.

Offered at Los Angeles City College and Cal State Los Angeles, the class is available in two parts, with the first a prerequisite for the second, Horsfall said. At City College, Part I will be offered beginning Tuesday through Nov. 12 from 7 to 10 p.m. at $200. Part II will be offered seven Thursdays, beginning this week through Oct. 24 from 7 to 10 p.m. at $150.

At Cal State L.A., Part I will be offered for 10 Mondays, from Sept. 30 through Dec. 2 for $200, while Part II will be offered 10 Wednesdays from Oct. 2 through Dec. 4 from 7 to 10 p.m. at $200.
