After a recent “Tonight Show,” local viewers had a choice of watching “Friday Night Videos,” “Tales From the Dark Side,” “Goodnight L.A.” videos, “The Gong Show,” an “MTV Concert” or “Love American Style.” Obviously, programmers take audiences for mindless morons who will watch anything because it’s free. They should all be forced to sit and watch this garbage for a day--nonstop--and see how they like it. At least we deserve the best of reruns--”Mary Tyler Moore,” “Sgt. Bilko,” “The Bob Newhart Show,” “Columbo,” “Ironside,” “Hart to Hart,” etc. If music videos disappeared from the small screen now, it would be no great loss!
