Mental Health Funds Battle

Share

The Los Angeles County Alliance for the Mentally Ill congratulates Ted Vollmer for his fine story.

His admonition regarding bureaucratic meddling in L.A. County’s mental health system is long overdue.

The careful analysis exhibited in this article spotlighted some of the hanky-panky that apparently is sidetracking the department’s energy. Now that the charges have surfaced, two months into fiscal year 1985-86, it is high time to remedy the situation and go about the business of serving the priority needs of the mentally ill in the community. The results will be good mental health for all of us coping with mentally ill family members.
