The widow of T. Claude Ryan, the man who who built Charles A. Lindbergh’s “Spirit of St. Louis” monoplane, was found unhurt after she was locked in the trunk of her car for the night. Police said Gladys Ryan, 85, was released by an officer responding to a report of loud music coming from a parked car. Ryan said a man burst into her San Diego home, took $20 from her purse and ransacked the house before forcing her into the trunk.
