Felando Named to New Task Force
SAN PEDRO —
Assemblyman Gerald N. Felando (R-San Pedro) has been appointed to the newly created Pacific Fisheries Legislative Task Force by Assembly Speaker Willie Brown (D-San Francisco).
The task force, composed of lawmakers from California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Idaho and British Columbia, was created to promote the fishing, seafood and aquaculture industries, and work with other fishery organizations to resolve interstate disputes.
The group will hold its first meeting in Portland, Ore., on Tuesday and Wednesday.
