Local News in Brief : 3 Injured as Pickup Overturns on Freeway
Three people were injured Sunday morning when their pickup truck overturned on the westbound Simi Valley Freeway ramp to the San Diego Freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The 1:07 a.m. accident forced closure of the transition road for 45 minutes while an emergency crew freed a passenger trapped under the vehicle, CHP Officer Michael Kerr said.
Connie Gregory, 22, of Canoga Park was in serious condition Sunday evening at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills with a broken leg and other injuries, a hospital spokeswoman said. The other two passengers have not been identified.
Kerr said he did not know the cause of the accident.
