A 17-year-old Santa Monica youth was arrested on a charge of attempted murder after he allegedly ran over a college campus security officer trying to stop a fight. Judy Duarte, 44, was in Santa Monica Hospital in fair condition after suffering head and body injuries, said Sgt. Greg Slaughter of the Santa Monica Police Department. The incident reportedly began when the suspect and a 20-year-old man started fighting in the parking lot of Santa Monica College after a football game. Police have not released the name of the suspect because he is a juvenile. Police are looking for the other man involved in the fight.
