Two health-care firms will reschedule a vote.

Baxter Travenol Laboratories and American Hospital Supply said the Oct. 22 stockholder meetings to vote on the proposed merger of the two concerns will be rescheduled. The two companies said the postponement was caused by a longer-than-expected review of their preliminary proxy materials by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
