Jiffy Lube to Open 300 Garages in California

Share

Jiffy Lube International Inc., a chain of quick-service oil change shops, Tuesday announced plans to open 400 garages in the next five years, including 300 in California.

The expansion into 11 Western states will be directed by the company’s newly created West Coast office in Tustin headed by senior vice president Nicholas A. Greville. Greville joined Baltimore, Md.-based Jiffy Lube in June after 12 years with Midas International Corp. where he was vice president and general manager of Midas’ European operations.

The expansion drive began with Jiffy Lube’s purchase in July of the nine-unit Car Savers chain in the San Francisco Bay Area. Over the next five years, Greville said the company hopes to open 200 shops in Los Angeles and Orange counties, 50 units in the San Francisco area, 25 in San Diego and 25 in Sacramento.
