William Carns, one of the alleged victims of the so-called Night Stalker, who was attacked in his Mission Viejo home almost four weeks ago, has been released from Mission Community Hospital and is undergoing treatment at another facility. Nadine Henry, a spokeswoman for Saddleback Community Hospital in Laguna Hills, said that Carns, 29, “has checked in here for rehabilitation, but he will not be receiving any visitors. The family has requested that only a limited amount of information be given out,” Henry said. Carns could be in the rehabilitation center for up to three months of physical therapy for partial paralysis resulting from gunshot wounds. The computer repairman and his girlfriend were attacked the morning of Aug. 25. The woman was beaten and raped. The attack was the last one that occurred before Night Stalker suspect Richard Ramirez was arrested on Aug. 31. Ramirez has been charged with one murder.
