The House passed a stopgap money bill Wednesday to keep federal agencies in operation while Congress tries to finish work on the regular appropriations bills needed for the government’s new fiscal year, which begins Oct. 1.

The measure, passed on a 272-156 vote and sent to the Senate, provides interim funding until Nov. 14 at fiscal 1985 levels.
