Santa Ana : Mass Scheduled Today for Earthquake Victims
A Mass will be celebrated by the Most Rev. Tomas Clavel, vicar for the Latino community of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange, at 7 p.m. today at St. Anne Church, 1344 S. Main St., Santa Ana, in remembrance of victims of last week’s earthquakes in Mexico.
“There have been prayerful remembrances in all of the Masses of the Catholic community this past weekend . . . for the earthquake victims,” said Tom Fuentes, director of communications for the diocese. “This occasion will be a special focus on those who are suffering in Mexico City (from) the earthquake.”
Fuentes said a collection will be taken to aid victims of the earthquake. It was unknown Monday how much money had been raised in collections at services last weekend, another diocesan spokesman said.
