American Abbey Homecare, a home health sales and service organization, has moved its headquarters from Irvine to Fountain Valley.
American Abbey was created by American Hospital Supply Corp. from its Abbey Medical and American ContinueCare divisions.
“The decision to combine the two companies into a new entity became a logical step in our plans for growth,” William Heffernan, president of American Abbey Homecare, said in a prepared statement. “We have joined the best of American ContinueCare and Abbey Medical into a one-stop source.”
According to company officials, American Abbey Homecare offers an assortment of more than 50,000 different health-care items as well as services for the home-care market through a nationwide network of more than 350 branches and cooperative home-care programs.
