Raiders’ Flight Plan: an Up-and-Out to Cleveland Unless Logan Reopens

The Raiders were scheduled to fly to Boston Friday afternoon to prepare for Sunday’s game against the Patriots, but on Friday morning, Boston’s Logan Airport was closed by the advance of Hurricane Gloria.

Instead, the Raiders decided to take their chartered flight to Cleveland. They planned to stay there overnight, practice this morning at an undisclosed site--lest the Patriots flood northern Ohio with spies--and then fly to Boston, arriving late today.

There was, however, the possibility that after taking off, the Raiders might learn that Logan Airport had reopened Friday night. In that case, the Raiders planned to fly in as originally scheduled.
