Highway Temporarily Closed by Toxic Cloud

CHICOPEE, Mass. —
State police reopened a section of Interstate 391 about 90 miles west of Boston early Sunday after a toxic cloud caused by a leak at a nearby chemical plant dissipated, authorities said.
State Police Lt. David Baker said a 5,000-gallon tank of formic acid at the Hercules Chemical Co. sprang a leak late Saturday, creating the cloud and forcing the highway closure. No one was injured.
