Master’s Women Lose to Azusa Pacific
Master’s College of Newhall won its first volleyball game against Azusa Pacific, 15-9, then dropped three straight, 2-15, 2-15 and 13-15, to lose the match Thursday.
Laura Cagwin served nine aces in the fourth game to keep it close for Master’s, but Azusa stormed back to win.
Teammate Shelmarie Tatum had eight kills on 23 attempts, along with 13 aces and seven blocked shots. Michelle Carter had six kills on 17 attempts.
