San Diego
The initial autopsy on the body of an unidentified woman found near a Logan Heights elementary school Thursday failed to establish the cause of death, said Jerry Hillbrand of the San Diego County coroner’s office.
The victim was black, in her mid-20s, 5-foot-4 and 134 pounds. A passer-by found the body on a lawn in the 5000 block of Guymon Street at 7 a.m.
Hillbrand said that laboratory studies will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
San Diego Police Lt. Bill Robinson said there was a possibility that the woman was killed elsewhere and dumped at the Logan Heights location.
No suspects are in custody and the investigation is continuing, he said.
