Fire Stations Ring Alarm for Dead Chief
Los Angeles County fire stations rang out a final alarm Saturday in honor of Battalion Chief Charles Spark, who died of cancer.
All 132 fire stations in the county rang out at 7 a.m. to honor Spark, a 28-year veteran, who died Friday night at St. Jude Hospital.
Spark, who was in his early 50s, recently retired as the battalion chief of communications. He is survived by his wife and two children.
