The Region : USC Agrees to Relocate Test Animals

Animal rights activists and university researchers have agreed to work together to relocate vivisected animals to a new facility with natural surroundings near the Los Angeles Zoo. The agreement between eight humane organizations and the University of Southern California will allow about 70 primates under observation by USC scientists to be moved to a habitat where they can roam and live in family groups. A small group of demonstrators denounced the pact.
